Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player secured his first championship for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has had a challenging season, winning just one match at the big events and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents the player's initial trophy following the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface from March of the previous year.
The win also means Medvedev has achieved 21 titles at twenty-one various events.
"It's the first time I have attended a tournament with my children at once, so to win a trophy is particularly special," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six finals, comprising in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and regular reactions on court had caused some to wonder if his skill to compete at the highest level was over.
However the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform assertively, reinforced by an improved serve.
He came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging opponent, securing 4 of the final five games to gain the advantage.
Both players traded breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden tour victory, took control to push for a decider.
He rescued four early-game chances in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner clinched victory with a rally at the net area, with Moutet incapable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
